ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority will receive sealed bids for the JRA FY 2024-1 Demolition Project. Sealed bids will be received at the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority, 416 Main Street Suite 200, Johnstown, PA 15901 until 10:00 am, Thursday, August 8, 2024. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time in the second-floor conference room at the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority. Scope of Work: The removal and legal disposal of the material and debris from the demolition of one (1) commercial building and one (1) residential building. A more detailed Scope of Work, project description, and contract documents for bidding purposes may be obtained from The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority as mentioned above. An asbestos survey for the commercial building is included in the bid package. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to those contractors whose name and email or fax number are on record as having obtained these documents. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority, or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted and awarded, a contract shall be entered. The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance, Labor and MaterialÕs Bonds along with the proper insurance, City Permits, and filing of no-lien agreement, before being awarded the contract. The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to re-advertise or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority for a period of not-to-exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. Bid proposal documents shall be enclosed in an envelope (outer and inner) both of which shall be sealed and clearly labeled ÒProposal for JRA FY 2024-1 Demolition ProjectÓ. The bidder shall be responsible for the placement of the firmÕs name on the outside of the bid envelopes.
